The ongoing series titled, 'the trees remember' uses cyanotype and solarfast dye to imagine cormorants flying throughout archival images of ‘cormorant island’ (Yalis) - drawing attention to both the ongoing effects of colonisation and the knowledge we continue to hold. The re-occuring cedar (our tree of life), acts as a witness and memory holder throughout the images - the trees remember.
